The passion started when I accidentally came across an iOS app called “5k Runner”. Then and there I decided I must try it. I shall be highly truthful in this regard when it comes to physical fitness. The app is just amazing. I have been following it and have been able to run 5k in just 8 weeks. In quite a short time when I considered running was never my thing. Lets see how far my strides go and I may continue it. Then I came across a few forums because it has been a thing on my mind while I am still at the office. I came across the http://www.runnersworld.com website and it has got some raving articles on running. The attire, shoes and the gadgetry. A runner must consult the website for any kind of help in regard with the running. I do a 5 min warmup before the run and after the run I cool down for 5 min. I had some cramps in the earlier days and had developed sore knees. But yeah stretching is the most important part that was missing from my daily routine. my stretching routine includes following:

  • Walking lunges
  • Leg Lifts
  • Butt kicks
  • Pike Stretch
  • Hacky Sack
  • Toy Soldier

You can always consult youtube for the video of each routine written above. 10 x Reps for each routine. And it has eradicated the soreness completely and I feel more pumped up and pushed towards running . This change has been phenomenal, my brain is active during work, I am getting better at solving analytical problems. Reading a lot and not dozing off during the lectures. You all must try it for fun, i bet you will fall in love with it. And remember staying fit is not always for the competition, its for life!
